general commission guidelines
these guidelines apply to both pay what you want (pwyw) and multichapter commissions.generally, my rate is $1/100 words. for PWYW commissions, i may average more words per dollar depending on the desired prompt. i am much stricter about my rate for chaptered works.nsfw is not limited to sexual content. it also includes graphic violence, self-harm/suicide, and certain themes commonly associated with the dead dove: do not eat tag.please note that by default, characters will be depicted as 18+. if there is compelling enough reason to have one or more characters underage, i am willing to make exceptions.commissions are not guaranteed to be completed in the order they are received. even if you are the first in the queue, your commission may be completed last depending on projected minimum wordcount and the complexity of your prompt.fandoms boku no hero academia

communication policy
effective february 1, 2024, clients who cease communication while a project is underway will have their project(s) suspended for a period of 90 days (180 days for chaptered projects). after that point, if the client is unreachable, the project will be canceled. the cancelation period for chaptered projects is one year of no communication.any projects canceled in this way will not be refunded under any circumstances, and the project will not be resurrected.
pay what you want guidelines
as the title implies, pwyw commissions allow you to get a oneshot for a price that fits your budget. though i set a rough wordcount goal based on dollar amount, the length of your fic is determined by your prompt.i generally don't charge for edits to pwyw fics unless i need to do heavy rearranging of the entire fic. proofreading and some moderate edits are complimentary, but additional fees may apply if multiple chunks of fic need to be reworked.private commissions have a $5 fee via add-on, as i receive zero exposure for works i do not post publicly.per my refund policy, once editing is underway, i do NOT issue refunds.i cap guaranteed minimum wordcounts for pwyw commissions at 3k, but this does not eliminate the possibility of your commission being longer. just know that anything in excess of $30 is considered a tip, and that i cannot guarantee your fic will surpass 3k.
multichapter work guidelines
note that multichapter works are currently in an experimental phase with very limited slots. as such, i will only accept your commission if i feel i can commit to your prompt.all multichapter works have a non-negotiable, non-refundable deposit of $10 that covers outlining and three major edits across the entire fic. the private commission fee is waived for those who do not want their commissions posted publicly. you only need to pay this deposit once per project, and this deposit does not include writing the actual fic.ko-fi and subscribestar supporters: the $10 deposit is waived for all tiers. supporters of the recipro turbo tier who qualify for quarterly freebies may opt to apply their freebie towards a multichapter work (one freebie = one chapter).major edits are edits that either increase the wordcount of a draft by more than 150 words or require large sections (150+ words) of a chapter to be rewritten. minor edits, such as changes to words or phrases, are always complimentary.multichapter works must have at least two chapters. i have a soft maximum of 10 chapters, but this can be negotiated.chapters are paid in installments, both for your protection and mine. please do not pay several chapters ahead!public posting will not occur until the fic is complete. i generally post chapters weekly, but you may choose to alter the schedule as you see fit, up to and including requesting the entire fic be posted at once.multichapter commission slots remain occupied until the fic in its entirety is complete. if the project must be put on hold for any reason, please notify me ASAP. note that projects are put on hold after six months of no communication from the client and canceled after a full year of no communication. projects canceled as a result of zero communication will not be picked back up, and refunds will not be issued for any completed chapters.

pay what you want clients
purchase your commission via ko-fi and fill out the form provided in the directions within 7 days
you'll be contacted via your preferred method of contact within 24 hours of filling out your commission form.
you will have 7 days from my initial attempt to contact you to reply to my message. if you do not reply, you will be given a refund and your commission will be rejected
once communication has been established and i've confirmed your DNWs, work on the initial draft will begin. depending on your minimum wordcount, this may take anywhere from a couple days to three weeks
you will receive progress updates every wednesday and saturday until draft is completed. if you would like updates on a more frequent basis, let me know
upon completion of the initial draft, you will be sent an unedited doc before proofreading begins. you may request edits at this time. once edits have been requested, refunds will not be given.
rewrites and proofreading will take place. once approved, you'll be sent a pdf copy of the completed work. if you have specific formatting requests, please let me know!
your commission will go live on ao3 and/or twitter within one week of you receiving your pdf
multichapter clients

if i wish to take on your commission, i will contact you via your preferred method of contact. once comms are established, i will request that you pay the deposit before we begin outlining. note that this fee is waived for patrons
outlining can be done with as much or as little of your input as you deem necessary. after approval has been received for both the outline and projected minimum wordcounts, you'll be given a quote for your commission.
writing for each individual will not begin until payment has been received. please do not pay for multiple chapters in advance.
individual chapters follow the same creation process as pwyw commissions
once all chapters have been completed, you will receive a pdf copy of your commission. public posting will begin on ao3 within one week of you receiving your pdf.

by commissioning me, you agree to the following terms
you may post your commission WITH CREDIT to your personal website, social media, discord servers, etc.
you may NOT upload your commission to fanfiction archives (wattpad, fanfiction.net, ao3, mibba, etc.) without explicit permission
you may remix, translate, adapt your commission into a podfic, or any other form of transformative work provided you link back to the original work
so long as credit is given where appropriate, you're free to create/commission fanworks that tie into your commission without explicit permission from me
as the writer, i reserve the right to include commissions in my portfolio for zine purposes unless your commission is private. i may retain some canceled projects and cut scenes for my own use, up to and including using it for supporter-exclusive content, such as the WIP Graveyard.public commissions do not currently see a Ko-Fi early access period. clients are given their pdf copy before it is released publicly on ao3.
refund policy
refunds are automatically granted if i cannot establish communication with you or you decline any of the terms and conditions on the commission information form.reasonable requests for refunds may be granted at any time before the editing process begins. You are not given access to your commission until the initial draft is complete, and the doc you will be sent before edits has permissions for downloading and copying disabled. This is to protect me from having my time wasted.Once you have requested edits OR have given me the go-ahead to begin proofreading, refunds will NOT be issued for any reason. Issuing a chargeback after this point will get you blacklisted.Chaptered Works: Once a chapter hits the editing phase, refunds for that chapter will not be given. Reasonable requests for refunds on chapters still in progress may be granted before the editing process begins.In the event of a refund, if you have seen the doc in its entirety before edits have been made, all text will be purged and stored offline. Once you have been issued a refund, I reserve the right to include this work in my portfolio or share it with Ko-Fi supporters without consulting you, even if your commission was initially intended to be private.
frequently asked questions
how long will it take to complete my commission?Depending on your prompt and projected minimum word count, it may take at least two days AFTER establishing communications and up to three weeks (including minor rewrites and proofreading). If I feel your commission will take longer, you'll be notified before I start working on it.what if i don't check my dms on ko-fi? can i use an alternate method of contact?You may choose to leave your Tumblr, Twitter, Discord, or Email along with your prompt.discord: please be sure your settings are set to allow server mutuals to dm you and allow anyone to send friend requests. if we aren't in a server together, friend requests are the only way i'll be able to contact you.email: please be sure to check your spam folderi chose not to proceed with a multichapter project, but i like the outline you created. can i use it for myself or commission someone else to create something based on your outline?i retain outlines for abandoned projects for one full year just in case clients change their mind. after that point, $7 patrons are given access to the outline via the WIP Graveyard.as the client, you may request a copy of your outline in the form of a PDF download. however, if you or someone you commission uses this outline, please, at the very least, credit me.what do you do with abandoned multichapter commissions?projects that haven't made it past the outline stage will be put into the WIP Graveyard on ko-fi after one year of abandonment.projects abandoned during the writing process may or may not see a ko-fi release, but they will not be released publicly without the approval of the client.
do you accept private commissions?private commissions are subject to a $5 fee via add-on, as i receive no exposure for work i can't post publicly. this fee is NOT factored into your projected minimum wordcount.how do i get a refund?refunds are automatically given to people who do not respond to my initial attempts to establish communication within 7 days of me reaching out to them.once communication has been established, reasonable requests for refunds will be accepted up until the editing stage. enacting a charge-nback without talking to me will get you blacklisted, regardless of your reasoning.refunds will not be given once editing is underway. no exceptions.why do multichapter works have a deposit fee?multichapter works require a higher level of commitment. part of this goes into outlining, something i generally don't do for my oneshots unless i have reason to believe it will be of substantial length.outlining takes time and will require your input. how much control you give me is entirely up to you, but at the end of the day, it may take hours, days, or even weeks to produce an outline that suits your tastes. the deposit fee covers that time and effort. even if you decide you don't wish to proceed with the project, it is non-refundable BECAUSE i put that time and effort into putting together a comprehensive outline.i have an outline for a multichapter fic that i'd like you to write. are you willing to use it?at this time, i will only accept pre-written outlines from trusted clients, mutuals, and supporters.if i'm permitted to use my pre-written outline, do i still have to pay the $10 deposit?yes, as the deposit also covers three major edits, outline tweaking, and covers the private commission fee.
